At least once a year, Ken and I try and get away for some quality grown-up time. Free of our-10 year-old daughter and sheltie dog for a long weekend this February, we stayed at Lovelace Manor, a bed and breakfast in Lancaster, PA. We each enjoyed a full body massage on Friday, and seeing the local sites on Saturday.

Central Market, in Lancaster, is the oldest publicly owned, continuously operated
farmers market in the country. The site itself has been used as a market since the 1730's. The Central Market was built in 1889. This Romanesque Revival style building is a historic landmark and was designed by Philadelphia architect, James Warner.
June looking at quilts in Sylvia Petersheim's backyard, in Bird-in Hand, PA. Sylvia and company are working on a quilted wall hanging for our bedroom which will be ready in six months. There are
many such quilting businesses
along the roads of Amish Country.
Thanks for your interest in our little trip and photos.
